Quality Assurance Director

Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Director will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization’s products and/or development processes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
  • Develops, implements & maintains compliance to the AS9100/ISO9001
  • Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
  • Communicates quality standards and parameters to QA team, product development team, and other appropriate staff.
  • Coordinates product testing processes.
  • Participates in product testing.
  • Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
  • Reviews client, customer, and user feedback.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or field related to the products being developed required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in related field required with supervisory experience a plus.
  • ISO 9001 certification

Commodity Manager

Position Summary:

Broadband Telcom Power, an EV charging equipment manufacturing company, seeks a qualified Commodity Manager. This position is reported to the Director of Supply Chain and is responsible to develop, implement and maintain a materials strategy that optimizes cost savings while minimizing supply risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Executing various commodity strategies for Electric-Mechanical, Semiconductor, Metal and Plastic
  • Collaborates with internal business units and drives strategic alignment within the company to support long-term corporate sourcing strategies.
  • Support company to achieve the revenue and EBIT target. Ensure supply continuity and be responsible for supply chain risk management. 
  • Manage the overall supplier relationship with all key suppliers.
  • Support new product introduction projects through sourcing, negotiation and risk mitigation.
  • Drive the cost reduction program and meet the cost reduction goals for regular commercialized products.
  • In charge of supplier management program including, but not limited to, QBR, contract management, supplier score card, price management, capacity management, and spend analysis.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of assigned commodities, global supply market, pricing trend, and other best practices
  • Perform other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.

 Qualifications / Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree is required.
  • CPM and/or CPIM certification is preferred.
  • Experience in the electronics and electrical component industry is required; EV industry is a plus.
  • Excellent negotiations skills and analytical skills with the ability to manage and develop supplier relationships
  • A comprehensive understanding of procurement fundamentals with a minimum of (3) years of experience in sourcing or purchasing, AND a minimum of three (3) years of related experience either in quality, engineering or supply chain.
  • Excellent communication skill and ability to work with internal colleagues as well as suppliers at all levels within the organization in order to perform the duties described above.
  • Must be PC-literate; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required to effectively communicate and negotiate with vendors & contractors in a professional manner.
  • Fluent English is a must.
  • Expect to travel 20-30% of the time, globally.

 Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at the manufacturing site. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally performed in outside weather conditions

Sr. Contracts Administrator

Position Summary

Responsible for the preparation, negotiations, and administration of Department of Defense (DoD) prime and subcontracts. Interfaces with all levels of management and staff. Supervises and provides support to contract administrators.
 
Position Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with Business Development team and Program Managers to assist in the planning/strategizing of future contracts and marketing effort to include the development of bid & proposal strategies. Also provides cost and pricing methodologies and strategies to the proposal process.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable regulations and actions required by contract.
  • Analyzes problems, recommends solutions, and initiates effective actions for resolution.
  • Prepares, negotiates, and administers prime contracts, subcontracts, independent consultant agreements, non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, and other agreements as required.
  • Manages all activities related to the lifecycle of the contract/task order or subcontract, from the initial proposal phase, through award and contact performance, to close out.
  • Supervises administration staff in routine administration of contracts.  Provides input on employee reviews and assists with the training of less senior contract administrators.
  • Supports functions of contract modification, administration of shipping documents, contractual billing against contract line items, and cost modification administration.
  • Maintains all contract files and records.
  • Establishes and maintains excellent external customer and internal relations, at all levels of the organization.
  • Acts as liaison with customer’s procurement officials for all proposal or contract matters, communicating status and resolving open contract matters with program managers and directors.
  • Requires extended work hours, evenings and weekends, to meet critical proposal schedules and deadlines.
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned to support business goals and objectives.

  • One of the following professional certifications: CFCM (Certified Federal Contracts Manager) or CPCM (Certified Professional Contracts Manager) or the willingness to obtain the CFCM in one year.

Project Coordinator / Customer Service Representative

Position Summary:

This position takes incoming service calls, evaluates the level of importance, creates service tickets, and reviews and analyzes technical support tickets and tracks incidents that occur with our Electric Car Chargers. The ideal candidate has a technical background in troubleshooting service calls. A proven service leader, excellent communicator, and decision-maker, and will also provide occasional escalation customer service as needed to our valued customers. This position report to the operations team, CSR Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day functional and technical support to our customers including testing and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Responsible for answering requests via tickets, chats, emails, and phone. These requests must be responded to promptly with the highest level of customer service possible.
  • Ensure proper, timely, and ongoing follow-up on assigned cases to ensure service level agreements are met and customer satisfaction is exceeded.
  • Respond to customer billing questions, challenges, and escalate to supervisor as needed.
  • Outbound contact with customers via phone and email to assist them with account management.
  • Own customer inquiries and follow issues through to excellent resolution.
  • Commit to being a subject matter expert on our products and brands for customers.
  • Communicate clearly with internal departments ensuring excellent service.
  • Prepare spreadsheets and word documents as required for reporting, analysis, documentation, and presentations.
  • Assist with customer feedback on our software and product testing for new products and functionality.
  • Coordinate the logistics for charger installations and commissioning.
  • Provide logistical support rollout and field upgrade projects.
  • Assist in scheduling the activities of field staff during project-related activities.
  • Ensure parts are shipped to field staff for any and all installations, commissioning, and project work.
  • Update project tracking lists and work orders and report progress to our customers
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of technical or customer service experience.
  • EV Charging network or automotive industry or experience is a plus.
  • Salesforce software experience (PLUS)
  • Outstanding service orientation and strong interpersonal skills that create positive relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Call Center experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated time management skills are required for this position to meet the turnaround and fulfillment times needed for success.

Circuit Card Assembler/Solderer

Position Summary:  Assembles and solders surface mount and through-hole electronic components onto a circuit board while maintaining high quality standards.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Install electronic components onto circuit board utilizing basic hand tools, materials and processes including the soldering process.
  • May operate machinery to clean and test circuit boards.
  • Follow work instructions and router operations to complete necessary work.
  • Enter data into company databases to read work instructions and complete operations.
  • Interface with Engineers to problem solve or ask assembly questions.
  • Prepares components for installation - Form components by hand or automated, bend leads, precondition leads or wires
  • Follows proper circuit board handling procedures while moving components and boards throughout processes.
  • Obtains and maintains basic certifications in IPC610 and JStandard001 procedures.
  • Responsible for self-inspection of product for any defects prior to moving product to next step.
  • Maintains a clean work environment to ensure product integrity and quality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to achieve company goals and objectives.

  • At least 1 year of previous soldering experience
  • Through-hole soldering experience
  • Re-work experience
  • Skilled user of solder rework tools to include flow pot
